On a daily basis, kites on the water will range from 6m2 to 14m2, depending on your size and board choice. We didn't have time to come back to try this but what a great spot. Local Conditions: If your new to the location or not sure of the conditions or temps, ask someone on the beach for advice. If you demonstrate an obvious lack of experience or respect for others safety, you may be asked to deflate your kite or be recommended to a local kite school to get your skills up to speed.

Best in early Spring and late Summer, Rufus is the place to be for some of the best kiting conditions to be had in the Gorge. The heart of the Gorge, and currently the most popular spot to ride in the Pacific Northwest.

Feb 07, 2019 Itinerary help Feb 04, 2019 worth a stop at Timberline Lodge Feb 01, 2019 August trip with kids - itinerary help please! I would recommend stopping here for an ice cream and to watch all the activities going on. Requires an Oregon Park pass.
